Storm damage · Insurance claims · Drone evidence

Storm-damaged roof? We'll fix it — and document it for your claim.

A free drone survey captures the damage in HD, our written report and itemised costs give your insurer what the claim needs — and through the Home Repair Network we can often carry out the approved repair directly on your insurer's behalf.

Evidence your insurer can't argue with

A claim stands or falls on what you can show. Our drone flies the whole roof and captures every tile, ridge and valley in close detail — no ladders, no guesswork, no “we couldn't see that bit”. You get the imagery in a written report with itemised repair costs, so what the storm did is documented properly from day one.

Two ways this can go — both covered

Whether you claim or pay privately is your call (and sometimes a close one). We're set up for either.

Claiming through your insurer

We're part of the Home Repair Network, which carries out property-damage repairs on behalf of most of the UK's national insurers. Put your claim in, mention us, and there's a good chance we can be appointed to do the approved repair directly through your insurer — one less thing to organise.

Sorting it privately

Claiming isn't always worth it — excess, premiums, small damage. Either way, we hand you the photos, written report and itemised costs your insurer needs, so you can decide with the facts in front of you and claim later if you choose to.

Straight about what we are: we're roofers, not a claims-management company. Decisions on cover are your insurer's. What we do is make the roof safe, document the damage properly, and carry out the repair — appointed through your insurer where the Home Repair Network applies, or privately with a fixed written quote.

The storm's passed — do these four things

Ten minutes now protects both the house and the claim. None of it involves going up the roof — leave that to us.

Deal with any water first

Bucket under drips, valuables out from underneath. If water's actively coming in, ring us — make-safe comes before paperwork.

Mind the electrics

Water near light fittings or sockets? Switch that circuit off at the consumer unit and don't touch wet fittings.

Photograph everything

Tiles in the garden, the damp patch, the ceiling — dated phone photos from the ground. Don't go up the roof for a better shot; our drone gets those.

Dig out your policy

Find your policy number and check the excess. Storm damage is often covered; knowing your excess tells you whether a claim is worth it.

Water actively coming in? That's our emergency page — make-safe first, claim after.

How a storm-damage claim works with us

  1. 1

Ring us — made safe first if it's still letting in

If water's coming in we treat it as an emergency: same-day or next-day in Mansfield and nearby, watertight first. A claim is never a reason to leave a roof open.

  2. 2

Free drone survey + written report

We fly the drone over the roof and capture every tile, ridge and valley in close detail — then write it up with the imagery, what the storm did, and itemised repair costs. That pack is what your claim needs.

  3. 3

The repair, approved and in writing

Through the Home Repair Network we can often be appointed to carry out the approved repair directly for your insurer. Claiming privately instead? Same fixed written quote as any other job — no surprises either way.
