The job

Back in 2022 the Wilkinsons' conservatory at Acorn Ridge had the usual problem: a roof that made the room freezing in winter and baking in summer. We stripped it back and built a fully insulated tiled warm roof in its place — slate-effect tiles in anthracite to sit comfortably against the main house, with Velux roof windows on the new pitch so the room kept its daylight.

Inside: a plastered vaulted ceiling with LED spotlights and a skylight where there used to be a plastic roof.

Three years later

Most roofing case studies show you a job the week it finished. This one is different — we went back in summer 2026, three years after fitting, and put a drone over it. The tiles, the ridge line, the leadwork into the main roof: all exactly as we left them. And the room? Still the one the family actually uses, all year round.

The result that lasts

A warm roof is a structural promise — and this is what ours looks like when the guarantee period is well underway. If you are weighing up a conservatory conversion, watch the clip on this page: that is a 2022 WeatherTech roof in 2026 footage.
